A Shocking Video Emerges Following Tragic Incident

A video recorded by a U.S. immigration agent involved in the fatal shooting of a woman in Minneapolis has been released, showing the moments leading up to the gunfire. The 47-second clip, obtained by local publication Alpha News, depicts Renee Nicole Good sitting in her vehicle while talking to the agent. U.S. Vice President JD Vance shared the video on social media, commenting that the agent acted in self-defense. Local officials have insisted that the woman posed no threat.

Good’s wife paid tribute to the 37-year-old, stating that they were attempting to support their neighbors when the shooting occurred. Her death, which took place on Wednesday, has sparked protests across the nation. The Trump administration has claimed that Good was blocking the roadway and obstructing the operations of ICE agents. The BBC has reached out to the Department of Homeland Security and the White House for comments regarding the released video.

The video begins with the agent exiting his vehicle and filming Good's car while circling it. A dog is seen on the back seat. Good says, "It’s all good, brother. I’m not mad at you." Another woman, believed to be her wife, stands by the roadside filming the interaction with her mobile phone. She tells the ICE agent: "We don’t change our plates every morning... just so you know, it’ll be the same plate when you talk to us later." She adds, "Want to come to us? I say you should go have lunch, buddy." Another agent approaches Good from the driver’s side and uses a vulgar term, saying, "Get out of the car." The filming agent moves in front of Good’s car as she reverses. In a few chaotic seconds, she turns the wheel to the right and drives forward. The camera tilts upward. "Woah, woah!" is heard followed by gunfire noises. In the last moments of the video, the car is seen turning onto the road. The ICE agent curses. Earlier footage from the scene shows the maroon SUV crashed at the roadside. The FBI is investigating the incident.

Vice President Vance reposted the video on X, defending the agent's actions, stating: "The reality is that his life was put at risk and he shot in self-defense." White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt also reposted the video, asserting that the media has disparaged an ICE agent who "properly defended himself from being run over." Good's wife, Becca Good, mentioned that they were at the location of the immigration control activity to support their neighbors. "We had whistles, they had guns," she said. When she spoke of Good, she added that "kindness radiated from her." "We are raising our son to believe that no matter where you come from or how you look, we all deserve compassion and kindness," she concluded.
