Trump Threatens Cuba: No Oil or Money from Venezuela!
Trump Escalates Pressure on Cuba
United States President Donald Trump announced that there will be no oil or money from Venezuela for Cuba, suggesting the communist island should reach an agreement with Washington. This statement comes amid a strict blockade on Venezuela, Cuba's largest oil supplier. According to the latest data, no shipments have left Venezuelan ports to Cuba since the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro by American forces on January 3.
"THERE WILL BE NO OIL OR MONEY FOR CUBA – ZERO! I strongly suggest they make a deal, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE," Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel rejected Trump's threats, stating, "Cuba is a free, independent, and sovereign nation. No one dictates what we do."
As American rhetoric against Cuba intensifies, the island nation is facing difficult economic conditions, experiencing power outages and fuel shortages. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez asserted that Cuba has the right to import oil from any supplier willing to export, emphasizing that the U.S. acts as a criminal hegemon threatening world peace.
