A Careful Restoration Process

Each layer has its own story, but Marius chose to create new memories through the care he invested in renovating this vise. The clamping mechanisms were worn out and required replacements, but Marius wanted to do more than just replace them. He completely rethought the clamping mechanism, providing a much smoother operation.

Innovation and Improvement

The improvement process included machining new axial bearings, designing and 3D printing a housing for the bearings, machining the main shaft, and finally, creating a customized shell. The final step involved applying a fresh coat of paint and a new layer of oil. This project not only revives an old tool but also pays tribute to traditional craftsmanship.
