Residents of the predominantly Kurdish neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh in Aleppo, Syria, continue to flee the escalating violence, following intensified clashes between the Syrian army and Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). After a Wednesday morning marked by violent confrontations, our reporter captured devastating scenes.
Artillery attacks have been relentless and severe, with our team becoming the target of four attacks, one of which struck our equipment. Initial footage demonstrates the massive evacuation of 160,000 people from the affected areas, creating a desperate escape from death. Amid the chaos, children screamed, and families held tightly to each other to avoid getting separated.
After nearly 15 years of civil war, an elderly man exclaimed, "May God take my soul so I can find rest." An elderly woman, barely able to move, fell to the ground, trampled by the crowd, while her son cried out in despair.
