CryptoQuant Founder Critiques X for Penalizing Crypto Content
Ki Young Ju's Critique
The founder of CryptoQuant, Ki Young Ju, has criticized the platform X for deciding to suppress cryptocurrency-related posts instead of addressing the issue of automated spamming that affects legitimate users. In a post made on X on Sunday, Ju highlighted a significant spike in automated activity associated with the keyword "crypto," noting data that shows over 7.7 million posts were generated in a single day, an increase of more than 1,200% compared to previous levels.
Ju emphasized that the flood of low-quality content has led to algorithmic restrictions that also impact authentic crypto accounts. He commented: "As AI advances, bots are inevitable," adding that X's inability to distinguish between automated and human accounts is the real issue.
His critique came after Nikita Bier, the product head of X, stated that visibility issues within Crypto Twitter are partially self-inflicted, blaming users for over-posting.
Cryptocurrency users rely on X as their primary real-time communication channel to share market information and breaking news.
