XRP ETFs Mark First Net Outflow After Period of Growth

Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for XRP recorded their first net outflow since launch on Wednesday, with approximately $40.8 million exiting these products. This ended a streak of weekly inflows that had exceeded $1 billion. According to data from SoSoValue, this withdrawal marked the first daily reversal after XRP ETFs consistently accumulated assets since mid-November 2025.

The outflow day coincided with heightened selling pressure across major cryptocurrency-related ETFs. Data from Farside Investors indicated that Bitcoin ETFs experienced outflows of $486 million, the largest net outflow since November, while Ether ETFs reported outflows of $98 million.

Despite this initial day of outflows, XRP ETFs remain among the top-performing exchange-traded products in the cryptocurrency sector, with net assets still exceeding $1.5 billion.

In the early trading days of 2026, flows from ETFs displayed a clear divide across asset classes. Bitcoin ETFs began January with substantial inflows. However, smaller cryptocurrency ETFs, such as those for Solana, continued to attract capital, registering modest inflows in the first days of the month.

Nevertheless, analysts warn that inflows into ETFs and the positive sentiment do not guarantee sustainable price appreciation. The outflow day could reflect this transition.

As of the time of this report, XRP is trading at $2.12, marking a 7% decline over the last 24 hours.
