Children Die from Waterborne Diseases in Sudan Refugee Camps
Refugee Camps Struck by Deadly Diseases
Families forced to flee their homes due to the ongoing war in Sudan are deprived of medical services and are living in camps without access to clean drinking water. As a result, children and some elderly individuals are suffering from schistosomiasis, a disease caused by a parasitic worm that thrives in contaminated water. This report was conducted by journalist Mohammad Vall from the Khor Ajwal camp in the White Nile State.
