Master Your 3D Printer with Chamber Master
Chamber Master: An Innovative Solution for 3D Printers
Utilizing an enclosed 3D printer can significantly impact the printing of certain filaments that are prone to warping. While it is easy to build a casing for your printer, actively controlling the conditions inside the chamber can be more complicated. This is where the Chamber Master project by Jayant Bhatia comes into play.
This system is built around the ESP32 microcontroller, which offers control over various elements and hosts a web dashboard, allowing you to monitor the chamber's status remotely. The ESP32 is connected to an SSD1306 OLED display and a rotary encoder, making it easy to navigate menus and functions directly at the printer, allowing for the selection of presets for different filament types and the setting of custom options.
A DHT11 humidity sensor and two DS18B20 temperature sensors are utilized to monitor the environment within the chamber as well as the inlet temperatures. One of the attractive features of Chamber Master is a 120 mm fan controlled by an iris, mounted on the chamber side, which allows for an adjustable opening size for airflow circulation. Along with PWM fan control, the amount of circulating air can be precisely managed.
