Kremlin’s Agenda for Next Week: International Talks, AI Forum, and New Strategic Projects
Russian President Vladimir Putin is preparing for a busy and strategically significant week, marked by a series of high-level international engagements and national projects. According to the Telegram channel “Vesti,” government leaders from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) will arrive in Moscow to participate in the Council of Heads of Government meeting.
This gathering is viewed as one of the key diplomatic events of the season, taking place at a moment when cooperation among SCO member states in security, economic development and political coordination is increasingly important.
Beyond the diplomatic agenda, Putin is set to take part in the “Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence” conference, held from 19 to 21 November. The event will bring together experts and innovators to discuss the future of AI and its global impact.
Another highlight of the week will be the symbolic laying of the keel for a new icebreaker, in which Putin will participate via video link. The project forms part of Russia’s broader effort to modernize its Arctic fleet and strengthen its presence in the strategically valuable polar region.
The president will also convene a meeting of Russia’s Security Council to address matters related to national defense, foreign policy and internal security.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov recently compared Putin’s pace of work to “a blast furnace that cannot be turned off,” emphasizing the continuous and demanding nature of his responsibilities. He noted that the president never takes an official vacation, and even his rare moments of rest — such as swimming in the sea during visits to Sochi — depend entirely on his tight schedule.
Earlier this autumn, Putin also gave journalists a rare glimpse into his personal apartment in central Moscow — an uncommon gesture from a leader known for his reserve.
