Over $5.5 Billion in Cryptocurrencies Scheduled for Release

More than $5.5 billion in cryptocurrencies are scheduled for release in January, with tokens such as ONDO, BGB, HYPE, and TRUMP holding the highest values. According to data tracker Tokenomist, January will see over $5.5 billion in tokens entering circulation. Almost $2.5 billion will be released through a full unlock system, while the remaining $3 billion will be distributed gradually, minimizing sudden increases in supply. The vesting process for cryptocurrencies aims to prevent abrupt increases in circulating quantities by allocating and gradually releasing tokens.

The first four major releases in January, totaling nearly $2 billion, include Ondo (ONDO), Bitget Token (BGB), Hyperliquid (HYPE), and Official Trump (TRUMP). Ondo leads with the release of 1.9 billion tokens on January 19, valued at over $840 million. BGB follows with 140 million tokens scheduled for January 26, valued at nearly $500 million. Hyperliquid will unlock 12.4 million tokens, totaling $327 million, while TRUMP, the official memecoin of U.S. President Donald Trump, will release 50 million tokens on January 18, worth $270 million.
