Tragic Incident in Thailand

A construction crane collapsed onto a moving train in northeastern Thailand, resulting in the deaths of at least 32 people and injuring 66 others. The accident caused the train to derail, with several carriages crushed and one catching fire following the impact. Among the injured are a one-year-old child and an 85-year-old elderly man, with seven individuals reported to be in critical condition, according to authorities.

BBC's South-East Asia correspondent, Jonathan Head, described the scene as "desperately grim," detailing the destruction caused by the accident. The Thai Railways have launched an investigation into the incident and announced they will take legal action against the construction company responsible for the crane.
