Israel Signs Record-Breaking Trade Deals in 2025
Israel Sets New Records in Trade Agreements
In 2025, Israel has signed a record number of trade agreements worth billions of dollars across the gas, technology, and military sectors.
One of the most notable agreements was approved in December when Prime Minister Netanyahu accepted the largest energy contract in Israel's history, which will supply Egypt with gas worth $35 billion through 2040.
Egypt, which established diplomatic relations with Israel in 1979, stated that this agreement is purely "commercial" and does not carry any "political" dimensions, amidst increasing public outrage over the genocide in Gaza.
Additionally, Israel has forged multiple record agreements in 2025 in the fields of technology and armament, capitalizing on sales of military and surveillance equipment tested in regional conflicts.
Among the largest public agreements signed with Israel in 2025 are:
- $35 billion agreement with Egyptian energy companies for the export of 130 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
- $32 billion agreement with Alphabet, Google's parent company, for the acquisition of the Israeli cybersecurity firm Wiz.
- $25 billion agreement with Palo Alto Networks for the acquisition of CyberArk.
- $3.1 billion agreement with Germany, extending an existing contract for the Arrow 3 defense system.
- $3 billion agreement with Xero for the acquisition of the fintech company Melio.
- $1.5 billion agreement with Nvidia for an artificial intelligence data center.
Israel's top trading partners highlight the concentration of trade relations, with the USA, China, Germany, and Turkey ranking as the top four from 2019 to 2023, representing over half of total trade.
In 2024, Israel's global trade consisted of $91.5 billion in imports and $61.7 billion in exports, with the electronics sector playing a crucial role in export economics.
