Bitmine Expands Ethereum Holdings by 24,000 ETH, Reaching 4.1M Tokens

Bitmine Increases Its Ether Holdings

Bitmine has acquired 24,266 ETH in the past week, raising its total ETH holdings to approximately 4.17 million, which accounts for 3.4% of the circulating supply of the token. The company's president, Tom Lee, aims to accumulate 5% of the total circulating supply. In addition to ETH, Bitmine holds 193 Bitcoin (BTC) and a stake worth $23 million in Eightco Holdings.

Bitmine's staking activities have also increased, with approximately 1.26 million ETH currently staked, reflecting a growth of 596,864 ETH compared to the previous week. The company plans to launch its own staking platform in early 2026. Lee has requested shareholder approval for an increase in authorized shares, necessary to support the acquisition strategy for ether.

Furthermore, Bitmine's stock rose by 3% during the early trading session, according to Yahoo Finance data, while Ether (ETH) traded close to $3,100, down by 3.3% over the past seven days.
