BitMine Imersive Technologies Reaches New Milestone in ETH Staked

The Ethereum technology company, BitMine Imersive Technologies, has recently achieved a milestone of 1 million ETH staked, having locked in an additional 86,400 Ether (ETH) valued at approximately $268.7 million. According to data provided by the crypto market analysis platform Arkham Intelligence, the transactions occurred in four separate stages, bringing BitMine's total staked ETH to 1,080,512.

Staking is the process by which validators or third-party staking service providers lock up cryptocurrencies to secure blockchain networks based on proof of stake. This generates a yield for the validator or investor, paid in the native token of the respective blockchain network. Market analyst Nic Puckrin noted that BitMine has staked ETH worth approximately $3.3 billion, generating an annual income of around $94.4 million at a yield of 2.81%.

This development comes during a tumultuous year for crypto treasury companies, many of which have lost over 90% of their peak value. BitMine's shares have plummeted by over 80% from an all-time high of $161 per share, reached in July 2025, and are currently trading at $30.06 per share.

In January 2026, BitMine's president, Tom Lee, urged shareholders to approve a proposal to increase the authorized shares cap to 50 billion, a 1000-fold increase. This move would enable the company to perform stock splits to keep the share price accessible.
