Senegal’s Husbands’ School Promotes Gender Equality
Learning About Gender Equality
In Senegal, men gather to discuss sensitive topics related to gender equality in an initiative known as the "Husbands' School." This program, supported by both the government and the UN, aims to counteract deeply rooted societal prejudices. Over 300 men have been trained so far in 20 schools across Senegal. An Al Jazeera reporter, Nicolas Haque, visited one of these schools in Pikine to report on this innovative project.
