Dfns and Concordium Collaborate for Legally Compliant Web3 Solutions

Dfns, a provider of digital wallet infrastructure and a partner of tech giant IBM, has integrated the layer-1 (L1) blockchain Concordium to launch a solution for identity-verified Web3 wallets. This integration, announced on Wednesday, enables financial institutions and organizations to quickly implement compliant wallets without the need to build complex identity infrastructure from scratch.

"This integration provides financial institutions and firms the ability to instantaneously deploy compliant wallets that protect user privacy," stated Clarisse Hagège, CEO of Dfns. This move follows a recent collaboration between Dfns and IBM for the launch of IBM Digital Asset Haven, a platform designed to help financial institutions and governments securely manage their digital asset operations.

Groups can create and manage wallets for their users without exposing them to technical complexities or the risks associated with managing a recovery phrase. Each wallet can thus be directly and verifiably linked to a real identity, supporting regulatory compliance while safeguarding user privacy.

Founded in 2020, Dfns currently boasts over 130 clients in banking, custody, tokenization, and trading, including ABN Amro, Fidelity International, and Circle, the issuer of USDC. As global regulations become increasingly stringent, Dfns offers a streamlined and compliant solution for onboarding users to tokenized assets, stabilizing blockchain financial services without compromising security or user experience.
