Bitcoin Has the Potential to Reach New Peaks by 2026

Fund manager Bill Miller IV asserts that Bitcoin "looks ready to go on the highway again." Analyzing the impact of a cryptocurrency-friendly Trump administration and Wall Street adoption, two industry analysts predict a new surge in Bitcoin by 2026. The son of legendary investor Bill Miller has joined other analysts in forecasting that Bitcoin will hit a new all-time high, supported by favorable regulatory frameworks in the U.S. and continued Wall Street adoption.

"Technical indicators are beginning to align, and it seems poised to explode. Personally, I expect it to surpass its historical peak from last fall," said Bill Miller IV, Chief Investment Officer at Miller Value Partners, in an interview with CNBC. He highlighted comments from U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Paul Atkins, who stated that capital markets are evolving on blockchain, mentioning the impossibilities that Wall Street giants like JPMorgan are building on this technology.

"It's a completely different game." Miller also noted that Bitcoin's 6% drop and its weaker performance compared to gold last year are not a "big deal," given the volatility of cryptocurrencies. A broader look at the charts shows that Bitcoin has never recorded two consecutive years in the negative.

Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $93,750, down 25.6% from its all-time high of $126,080 set on October 6, but showing a 7.1% increase so far in 2026, according to data from CoinGecko.

In a separate interview with CNBC, Fundstrat Capital CIO Tom Lee stated that Bitcoin started 2026 with several advantages. "We reset the leverage on October 10 with that big shock, and now I believe there is still room for institutional adoption, with Wall Street continuing to build many products on blockchain, and U.S. government support remains present."

"I believe these are advantages that will help Bitcoin recover this year." Although Lee did not provide a new prediction regarding how high Bitcoin will reach by 2026, he suggested in mid-December that it could hit a new peak by the end of January. The cryptocurrency venture firm Dragonfly, through its managing partner Haseeb Qureshi, predicted last week that Bitcoin will exceed $150,000 by the end of 2026 but forecasted that Bitcoin's dominance will decline. The cryptocurrency investment firm Galaxy Digital avoided making a solid prediction, stating that 2026 will be "too chaotic" to estimate, emphasizing that the price could vary between $50,000 and $250,000 by the end of the year.
