Nicolás Maduro, the former president of Venezuela, made his first court appearance in New York following his capture by American forces in Caracas on January 3. Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were brought before the judge in handcuffs, both on their hands and feet. They are facing charges that include narcoterrorism. Both entered pleas of "not guilty."
