Yann LeCun, the former head of artificial intelligence at Meta, known as the "father of AI," has criticized the company's new AI director, 29-year-old Alexandr Wang, describing him as "young" and "inexperienced." These comments were made during an interview with the Financial Times.

Wang took over as LeCun's manager after Meta's significant investment of $15 billion in his startup, Scale AI. LeCun revealed that CEO Mark Zuckerberg has "sidelined" the entire GenAI organization following the failure of Llama 4 and allegations that the team cheated during evaluations. "Many people have left the company, and many others who have not yet left will do so," he stated. He also mentioned that new employees are "completely affected by LLMs," pointing out that LLMs represent "a deadlock regarding superintelligence."
