Israeli Forces Launch Deadly Strikes in Gaza Despite Ceasefire Violations
Israeli Attacks Continue in Gaza
The Israeli military has launched new strikes in areas of Gaza, despite a ceasefire agreement mediated by the United States in October. According to medical sources, at least three Palestinians were killed on Sunday in separate attacks in Khan Younis. Among the victims was a 15-year-old boy, a fisherman, and another man fatally shot in eastern Khan Younis. In the central area of the besieged enclave, Israeli fire injured several individuals in the eastern part of the Bureij refugee camp.
In Gaza City, Israeli forces continue to demolish homes and civilian infrastructure in the Tuffah neighborhood, which has been largely devastated. The Israeli military has confirmed the destruction of various infrastructures in northern Gaza, claiming the objective is to target "terrorist infrastructure above and below ground," including tunnels in Beit Lahiya. Israeli drones have also dropped explosives on several houses in eastern Gaza City. The neighborhoods of Shujayea and Zeitoun, which have faced intense attacks over the past two years of genocidal warfare, have been hit by artillery bombardments.
According to the latest data provided by the Gaza Ministry of Health, at least 71,386 Palestinians have been killed and 171,264 injured since the war began in October 2023. Since the ceasefire was signed, over 420 individuals have been killed. The Israeli military continues to blockade a significant amount of international humanitarian aid that is piling up at the Gaza border, asserting that there is no shortage of aid, despite testimonies from United Nations organizations and others operating on the ground. It has also prohibited the operations of several international aid organizations in Gaza, including Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and the Norwegian Refugee Council.
