Venezuelan officials claim that American airstrikes have killed at least 40 people, devastated parts of the capital, and violated national sovereignty by kidnapping President Nicolas Maduro. The population is divided between the fear of ongoing U.S. intervention and the celebration of his removal.

Global protests have erupted against the American attack on Venezuela, with Bernie Sanders denouncing Trump's actions. Additionally, Trump stated that opposition leader Maria Corina Machado is unsuitable to lead Venezuela and asserted that the United States will take control of Venezuelan oil.

Following Maduro's capture, a U.S. team is expected to lead Venezuela.
