Dramatic Victory for Ivory Coast Against Gabon

Ivory Coast demonstrated a spectacular comeback, overcoming a 3-2 defeat against Gabon in a match held in Marrakech during the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Bazoumana Toure scored in the dying moments of the game, securing victory for his team.

After initially trailing by two goals, Ivory Coast managed to net three goals, thereby advancing to the top of Group F. Additionally, Cameroon defeated Mozambique 2-1, finishing level with Ivory Coast on seven points, but the Ivorians progressed due to their goal difference.

Gabon opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Guelor Kanga, with Denis Bouanga doubling the lead in the 21st minute. Ivory Coast reduced the deficit thanks to Jean-Philippe Krasso, who scored in the 44th minute. Ultimately, it was Evann Guessand who equalized in the 84th minute, before Toure secured victory with a goal in stoppage time.

Ivory Coast will now face Burkina Faso, while Cameroon will take on South Africa, and Mozambique will compete against Nigeria in the knockout stages.
