Israel-Palestine Conflict: Military Activities Intensify in Territory

Israeli armed forces have launched raids and interrogations, capturing over 80 individuals in the occupied West Bank. One person was injured during the operations, and another's home was destroyed, highlighting the escalation of attacks on Palestinian territory amidst the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza.

In a recent incident, Israeli forces surrounded a residence in Dura, south of Hebron, before opening fire and injuring the brother of Mahmoud al-Fasfous, who has long been sought by Israeli authorities. Other raids occurred in the Khallat Nafisa area of Hebron, where the home of Imran al-Atrash was demolished with a bulldozer. Israeli forces also killed another Palestinian, Walid Muhammad Khalil Sabarna, after alleging he was involved in a car and stabbing attack.

Additionally, in other parts of Hebron, Israeli forces arrested and interrogated at least 80 Palestinians, including a woman and two children, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Society. This action is described as an unprecedented escalation, part of a campaign of collective punishment. In the Arroub refugee camp, two arrests took place, and further arrests are ongoing in nearly all areas surrounding the city.

During the raids, soldiers provoked locals in various ways, including chanting provocative messages. The raids in the West Bank have significantly increased, as have the violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers, which resulted in 240 Palestinians being killed in 2025, according to the UN. All Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem are considered illegal under international law.
