Disagreements between U.S. President Donald Trump and Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene have escalated into a public feud, signaling a major breakdown in relations between the president and one of his staunchest supporters.

On Friday, Trump called Greene “wacky” in social media posts, suggesting she should be unseated in next year’s elections, and on Saturday he labeled her a “traitor.”

Greene has questioned whether Trump is still putting “America First” and criticized his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

The feud comes as the House prepares to consider whether to release the Epstein files to the public, with Speaker Mike Johnson saying the bill would go to a vote this week.

Known as the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the legislation aims to have the Justice Department release all unclassified records, communications, and investigative materials related to Epstein.

In recent days, Greene has posted that Trump is trying to stop other Republicans from supporting the bill.

“He’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next week’s vote,” she wrote.

Former Republican strategist Robert Moran noted that it is clear Trump does not want the files released and is attempting to pressure Greene.

This public clash marks a dramatic turnaround for Greene, who stood by Trump during multiple scandals, including the January 6th Capitol riot.

The dispute highlights deep internal divisions within the Republican Party and the tensions surrounding the handling of the controversial Epstein files.
