Washington – US Democratic Party representatives released screenshots of letters written by financier Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of child sex crimes, which could cast a shadow over President Donald Trump’s reputation.

In one letter, Epstein claims that Trump “knew about the girls,” as he allegedly asked Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell to stop engaging in the criminal enterprise. In another, Epstein referred to Trump as a “dog that has not yet barked.” A third letter mentions that Trump reportedly spent several hours with one of Epstein’s underage victims at his residence, though the context for his presence is not clarified.

Amid these revelations, US Democrats are calling for the full release of documents in the Epstein case.

Jeffrey Epstein was convicted twice: in 2008 for raping a 14-year-old girl and involving 36 girls under 16 in prostitution, and in 2019 for child trafficking. US authorities have been criticized for withholding the names of clients who allegedly attended Epstein’s private parties.

Previously, the US Congress dismissed a postcard supposedly linking Trump to Epstein as fake. Earlier reports also suggested that Epstein had been offered freedom in exchange for testimony against Trump.
